“That’s what was so weird about it,” said Morgan….
Drake looked at his brother.
Morgan looked up, “I know it sounds crazy, Drake, but listen - I’m tellin’ you, it’s exactly like that time on the river boat in Africa, about how many times we’ve died…”
Morgan saw Drake cover his face with both hands, elbows to knees. Drake was getting ready to be monologued.
“Drake, it’s why I switched doctors.”
Morgan continued, “I just… it’s just… the more we do, the more we learn, the more we get closer to dad’s final journal…”
Drake took a deep inhale. This was an unexpected turn in the usual conversation.
“I’m just sayin’, Drake. I’m just saying that I think the Eidolons are always right in front of us, so to speak. And I think some people call em Guardian Angels and some call ‘em demons, Djinn, but we know what they are…”
“That’s the Problem, is that we know Morgan,” Drake finally spoke up, “its that WE FUCKING KNOW WHY EIDOLONS EXIST.”
“Morgan replied, “I know Drake.”
Morgan took a deep inhale and let out a sigh.
“I know.”
