What Morgan Knew

Morgan reached out his hand to pick me up, he had knocked me around and down again while we sparred.

“That’s why you got such an edge in combat.”

He dusted off my shoulders and patted my back.

Morgan continued, “At best, catholics and other early baptism rituals within denominations meant that their souls start skirmishing with demons early in their arrival to this planet.”

“And so what are you saying,” i urged him, impatiently.

“That since you were in mom’s womb, we knew you had got your scaur.” Morgan paused before continuing to finish his thought, “that your spirit, your soul has been at war with these whispers of silence and world undoing, and…” he trailed off.

“Emptiness & Chaos at the same time.”

Morgan looked at me. I could tell he knew this was the first time he knew I knew what he was saying all these years.
